I explored the Covered Bridge Days in Downtown Elizabethton this year and found a wide assortment of fun for the whole family. I started in the kids activity area where Goofy and Pluto were singing to the children. From there I went to my daughter's favorite spot, the bounce house stretch with the giant dump truck slide. Everyone seemed to be having lots of fun.

Next I stopped by the stage where a live band was playing a merry melody. This was a favorite spot for our more senior of citizens to relax and enjoy a show.

After that I found myself on the bridge to explore the Elizabethton Youth Business fair. This was a popular spot with families that have young kids. It was great to see the youths putting their crafts out there for the whole town to see.

My last stop for the trip was at the tents where a lot of local sellers got together to show off their wears. Rather it was perfumes, crochet dolls, candle sticks, or wood carvings. There was something here for everyone provided by our talented populous.

Out of all the stalls, my favorite this year was 473 CREATIONS. They had a wonderful assortment of custom tumblers, T-shirts, and Trinkets that are right up my alley. you can check out their facebook page.

In summary, it is great to live in a town that is proud of its community and willing to put on events to keep us together. I have lived in over 32 places across America during my lifetime, but never in a town like this. So make sure you appreciate that and come out to support it, so we can continue have this for generations to come.
Thank you for reading. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the police, fire fighters, rescue workers, volunteers, and good Samaritans who help keep our community going.
