The Folklore:
Onibaba or Demon Woman are thought to be the metamorphose of elderly women exiled to the wilderness to die. The hate for their banishers caused them to change and filled them with a a hunger. An Onibaba will often appear to travelers as a kindly old woman dwelling in unfrequented areas such as mountains, forests, or vast plains. She will conceal her true nature to get closer to travelers. Onibaba may even go as far as to invite the traveler back to her hut for a rest. However, this entity has only one goal, to devour anyone it comes across.
Onibaba will kill her prey and make stew out of their flesh. If she can trick potential victim into resting at her hut, she will attempt to devour them whole after they have fallen asleep. Onibaba can change her appearance, but her true form is a disheveled looking elderly woman with wild hair and a jaw that can grow to easily consume prey. This entity is also known for wielding a knife that she uses to murder and butcher her victims. Onibaba has an insatiable hunger and will do whatever it takes to feed.
